"Things I Learned from Lord of the Rings" - by Zo

We recently watched all 10+ hours of the Lord of the Rings films together as a family.  Here is my 12-year-old daughter's list of the things she learned from the experience:

  1.  YOU SHALL NOT PASS!
  2.  Don't touch Gandalf's stuff.
  3.  Falling off cliffs won't kill you.
  4.  Don't send a man to do a woman's job.
  5.  When battling alongside a dwarf, keep count.
  6.  Gollum never dies.
  7.  Elves are HOT.
  8.  Arrows can be badass.
  9.  Orcs are afriad of dead guys (and the devil).
10.  Spiders are scary.
11.  Elf magic rocks.
12.  Never trust an evil fetus.
13.  When going on an adventure, shoes are optional.
14.  ELVES are HOT.
15.  Always bring a friend.
16.  Elven bread lasts forever.
17.  Kings be crazy.
18.  Don't make the trees mad.
19.  It only takes one ring to... whatever...
20.  The true king can raise the dead.
21.  ELVES ARE HOT.
22.  Trees are like Volgons (terrible poetry).
23.  In Middle Earth, everyone has beautiful hair.
24.  The fat one will take it from you.
25.  Multiple personality disorder sucks.
26.  Samwise is the best friend ever.
27.  Horses are the best.
28.  Hobbits are always hungry.
29.  Blue swords = bad news.
30.  elves are hot.
